Jack White Releases New Video, Announces Two New LPs

Some days earlier, Third Man Records founder Jack White released two varieties of ‘Taking Me Back’, which is his first solo song released since 2018. As per reports, the two new tracks would act as the ‘bookend’ pieces of White’s two albums of standard length that will be out next year.

The first album that will be released in April 2022 is entitled ‘Fear of the Dawn’. The rock-out variety of White’s single starts with a set of 12 tracks. As you can see in the following list, the track entitled ‘Hi-De-Ho’ has a Q-Tip feature as well as some references to the fear of the dawn. That seems to be nocturnal animal stuff, a logical assertion on the basis of the album cover art. That said, it is worth noting that the word dawn also refers to a new beginning or a change. It may not be something you can understand comfortably but is perhaps what White drives at.

A set of 11 tracks entitled ‘Entering Heaven Alive’ is slated for a July 2022 release. A track entitled ‘Queen of the Bees’ is part of the July 2022 album. Disappointingly, the album notes do not suggest that White and Robyn Hitchcock have collaborated on the album. For the uninitiated, Hitchcock is the writer of ‘Madonna of the Wasps’ and ‘Queen of Eyes’. The album also has the track entitled ‘Taking Me Back (Gently)’, which is the Western swing-like and cooled-out accosting version of White’s ‘Taking Me Back’ with identical lyrics.

Expectantly, Third Man Records has also announced many variants of the Fear of the Dawn album’s vinyl edition. You can pre-save or pre-order the piece of work known as ‘long play’ on the internet. The album’s vinyl edition with a jacket that features screen printed elements, is available only to the people who subscribed to Third Man Records’ Vault program through the shop Vault Novelties. Nevertheless, the general public can also get the following.

  • Indie record shops will carry the album’s astronomical blue variety.
  • The copies of Urban Outfitters will come with special slip mats.
  • Target shops will carry its moon-glow white version.
  • A special-edition split album edition will be available at Rough Trade Records. The split album will come with astronomical blue and moon-glow white, a CD that compiles Third Man Records’ music, and a poster made with the screen-printing technique.

The other album will also have its variants, and White is likely to announce the details about those variants later. Nevertheless, you can order the black version of the album on the internet before it hits the stores.

There is also a standard-length official video for White’s ‘Taking Me Back’. White and Lauren Dunn directed the video together. For your information, Dunn has produced videos for musicians such as Megan Thee Stallion, Kali Uchis and other musicians. Here, you can find the full list of tracks for the two albums. Keep track of Third Man Records’ website as well as the site, Instagram and Facebook pages of White for more.
